Ensemble 212 with Yoon Jae Lee

Updated: Jan 13, 2022

Great music starts with a great conductor!

To inspire and engage classical music audiences through accessible, interactive, and educational performance experiences. -Yoon Jae Lee

Mr. Lee’s arrangements and transcriptions have been performed throughout Asia, Europe, North and South America by leading orchestras such as the Baltimore and Phoenix Symphony Orchestras. Praised by audiences and critics alike, David Patrick Stearns of the Philadelphia Inquirer claimed his orchestral transcription of Mendelssohn’s Octet “Incorporated winds and brass…..intelligently.” The New York Times described his chamber version of Mahler’s Fourth Symphony as “Illuminating….. with solos leaping out in unusually bold detail.” He is currently engaged in “The Mahler Chamber Project” to arrange all the symphonies and Das Lied von der Erde for chamber orchestra.

Music is Yoon Jae Lee's passion. He has for many years put his effort into teaching music to others as well as his passion for leading Orchestra. Investing in others is investing in music and his selfless attitude to poor himself into other artists is maybe his best quality. He wants classic music to continue on to other generations for all time and his nonprofit orchestra, is in part, his love of doing that.
