There was a time when CNN was not invited to the white house because they were not considered a real media outlet.They were part of this new cable television platform that no one understood. They couldn't get a press pass and had to increase their authority to get into the club. Now CNN may have low ratings but cater to the elite class. Their revenue model is based on appealing to the wealthy and connected.
YouTube is the next step in the beginning of legacy media. We have a chance though to do it all over again but better. Many channels will start and provide news and media. Someday they will be considered legacy media, now is the time to steer that ship to a place that we can be proud of. That is what The Trickle Up Media wants to accomplish. We believe we can establish a new way to media. We can change the culture and inform people like never before. We are creating a system so that we don't get trapped by the corruption that comes when you get to big.
